The unincorporated village of Howe, Indiana is located in northeastern Indiana in LaGrange County just east of the junction of Indiana State Roads 9 & 120 and just south of exit 121 on the Indiana Tollroad. Our community of 600 residents is located 12 miles northeast of Shipshewana, Indiana, and just a few miles from the Pigeon River Game Reserve.

Winter is almost behind us and spring is on the way. It’s time for the HCA to resume our monthly meetings.
We hope to see everyone there with lots of ideas and energy to get started on this year’s projects and events!

Old Business: The funds we received ($12,500) current suggestions 1) restrooms at the park 2) road signs (4). New Business: Talk about the cost of these projects,
if additional funds will be needed and how we can go about securing additional funds. (for example: HMS alumni, theTownship, grants, etc.).
Talk about possibly inviting members of the alumni to out April meeting to get their input.

HCA Monthly Meetings

Meetings are open to the public, and include committee reports and discussion. Unless otherwise specified, the Howe Community Association has its monthly meetings at The Howe Community Building (old fire station) at 7pm on the second Tuesday of each month.
The Howe Community Association is a non-profit organization recognized by the state of Indiana. It is a large group of Howe residents who contribute in various ways to the planning of local events like Indian Summer Day. We also bring The Farmers Market to our town on Saturdays during the summer. There are many ways to participate. We invite you to come to our monthly meetings.
